Once you've added your first question, you should see the question in a preview window. You can always go back and edit it if you like, but let's charge on from here.
Adding Another Question
Now that you've added a question, it's time to start adding more. If you haven't left the page where your previous question is displayed, go ahead and click the add another question link in the green bar.
If you've browsed away, go back to your Account Manager and click on your Survey's name. Then you should see the survey information with the following link to add a question:
Add a Matrix Question
Now you should see the question type selection screen again. Let's add a One Answer per Row question. This way, our respondents can tell us exactly how they feel about different aspects of our service. To do this, click the One Answer per Row link. You may have to scroll down to find it.
Just like the previous question, you need to fill in the Question Text. For this one, let's ask them to "Rate the following services.
Now, like the previous question, we need to fill out our answers. Matrix questions, however, have both Answer Choices (Columns) and Questions (Rows). You need to fill out each of these. Take a look at the image below.
Those outlined in red are the Columns (Answer Choices). Those outlined in blue are the Rows (Questions). Because we want the user to rate the services, let's set up four options. We want to display friendly text options to the user, so let's make them "Poor", "Satisfactory", "Good" and "Great". At the same time, however, we want to view the results numerically, so that we can view averages.
To do this, we set the Column Text to "Poor" (Step 1) and the Column Value to "1" (Step 2). When that answer is completed, hit the Add Column button (Step 3).
Repeat the process above, adding entries for "Satisfactory" (2), "Good" (3) and "Great" (4). Once this is done, you should see a list of Answer Choices like the following.
Now turn your attention to the Rows (Questions) area. Here you'll only need to fill out the Row Question (Step 1). Let's ask the user about our service in three areas: "Customer Service", "Sales" and "Delivery". Again, don't forget to hit the Add Row button after filling out each row (Step 2).
Repeat the process above until you've added all three areas and your list of Rows (Questions) matches the following.
Once you're done, click the Add Question button at the bottom of the page.
Add a New Page
We'll finish creating the survey by adding a new Page and asking the user for some personal details. Continue the tutorial to find out how to do this.
